DNA Cossitt Surname Research Project
One purpose of the Cossitt Family Association
is to determine if we are closely related to some of those
people with the name of Cossitt that currently live in France and
other countries*. In early 2008, the Board of Directors of the Cossitt Family
Association commenced the Cossitt
Family Y-DNA Surname Project.
These are
the most current results.
The Officers of The Cossitt Family Association desire to enhance our
genealogy searches and also provide tools for enhancing our roots and
discovering new lines of adjoining families. Most of all, everyone
needs to become active in searching
out their own roots. If assistance is needed, please
